Rose M. Silbernick, 96
February 24, 1915 – August 30, 2011
The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Rose Silbernick, age 96 of Albany, will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 3 at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Rose died Tuesday at the Mother of Mercy Nursing Home. There will be a visitation from 4-8:00 PM Friday, and again after 10:00 AM Saturday at the church in Albany. Seven Dolors Parish Prayers will be at 4:30 PM followed by the Seven Dolors Christian Mothers at 6:00 PM Friday at the church. Arrangements are being made by the Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Albany.
Rose was born February 24, 1915 in St. Joseph to Peter and Anna Borresch. She attended school in St. Joseph and married Syl Silbernick in Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany on August 8, 1935. Rose was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany and the Seven Dolors Christian Mothers.
Rose is survived by her daughters, Shirley Weiss, North Oaks; Carol (James) Chandler, Grand Rapids; Son-in-law, Richard Schiffler, 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sylvester on May 15, 2007 and her daughter, Janet Schiffler, her son-in-law, Delmar Weiss and her brothers and sisters, Joe Borresch, John Borresch, Nicholas Borresch, Mae Halfman, Catherine Segan, and Helen Borresch.
