Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a memorial mass to follow. Mass begins at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29 at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Richard McGuire officiating.
Ralph Joseph Kuhlmann was born November 17, 1935 in Ward Springs to Theodore and Antionette (Terwey) Kuhlmann. On April 15, 1961, he married Lois Haskamp at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Ralph was employed at Long Prairie Packing for 24 years. After retiring in 1998, he worked a few part-time jobs delivering newspapers and delivering parts for Auto Value.
Ralph will be remembered for his extraordinary carpentry skills, remodeling their entire home over the years by himself and also for the time he spent caring for the various farm animals he had.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Kuhlmann of Sauk Centre; children Lori (Dan) Krousey, Cindy (Jeff) Meier, Brian (Shelly) Kuhlmann and Darrin (Shannon) Kuhlmann, all of Sauk Centre; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Brothers and sisters, Lorraine (Tom) Snetsinger of Golden Valley, Fred (Fritze) Kuhlmann of Shakopee, Shirley Deters of Grey Eagle, Tom (Connie) Kuhlmann of Grey Eagle, George Kuhlman of Grey Eagle, Gary Kuhlmann of Grey Eagle, Sharon (Paul) Kuhlmann of Golden Valley and Frank (Annette) Kuhlmann of Ward Springs.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James, Lawrence and Theodore Kuhlmann. Serving as urn bearer will be grandson, Wilder Kuhlmann. Memorials are preferred to the Sauk Centre Area Hospice.
