Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2011 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Joseph Dingmann, age 81, who died Tuesday at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud, MN. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Friday morning at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond (151 Oakwood Ave SE). Parish Prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. followed by a rosary with the Knights of Columbus and Catholic United Financial.
Joe was born in Richmond, MN to Henry B. and Gertrude (Ramler) Dingmann. He married Eileen Kleve on September 17, 1957 in the Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany, MN. Joe was in the Army from 1954 to 1956. He worked at the Cold Spring Granite Company, and then farmed until he retired. Joe enjoyed driving tractor and playing cards. He was a member of the Sts. Peter & Paul Parish, Richmond American Legion #292, Knights of Columbus, and Catholic United Financial Association.
Survivors include Eileen, his wife of 54 years; children, Mary (Charlie) Nordmann of Richmond, Steve (Alainna) Dingmann of Clearwater, Jeff (Brenda) Dingmann of Richmond, Lori (Gene) Steckman of Jordan, Lisa (Jeff) Isenberg of Richmond; 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Irene; sisters-in-law, Theresa, Viola, Alma, and Mildred.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Ervin, Bill, Albert, Sr. Virginia Dingmann, O.S.F., Dorothy, Raymond, Alfred, Leander, Paul and Frances Kohnen.
Memorials are preferred in Lieu of flowers.
