Pastry for Deep Dish Pie

1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
6 Tbsp. shortening
About 5-6 Tbsp. cold water

In medium bowl stir together flour and salt. Using pastry blender cut in shortening until pieces are pea size. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon water over part of flour mixture; gently toss with fork. Push moistened dough to side of bowl. Repeat, using 1 tablespoon water at a time, until all the flour is moistened. Form into a ball. Roll to 13-inch circle and place in 9-inch pie plate.
