Almond Bars

1 c. butter
1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. sliced almonds
8 oz. cream cheese
2 eggs
1/2 c. white sugar
1-1/2 tsp. almond extract

Mix butter, powdered sugar and flour together for the first layer. Bake in a 9×13 pan at 350ยบ for 10-15 minutes. Pat sliced almonds into baked crust. For the second layer, beat well the cream cheese, eggs, white sugar and almond extract. Pour over crust. Bake 15 minutes. Cool and frost with the following

 

Frosting

1/4 c. soft butter
1-1/2 c. powdered sugar
1-1/2 tsp. almond extract
1-1/2 Tbsp. milk
