Lynn Depa resigns from Upsala Council

Upsala City Council Member Lynn Depa tendered her resignation effective Dec. 31.
Council members received her official notice at Monday’s meeting.
Her letter stated, “For personal reasons, I am no longer able to continue being a part of the Upsala City Council.”
The resignation also included her position on the Upsala Community Development Commission.
Depa had served one year of her two-year term.
The Council accepted her resignation and approved posting the position for the final year of her term.
Applications for the position are available at City Hall.
The Council also accepted the resignation of Deputy Clerk Sheri Johnson effective Jan. 5, 2012.
Johnson stated she would finish training City Clerk Adrian Welle on her duties and would be available to fill in when needed.
She also said with the increase in hours for the clerk’s position, she did not feel there was a need to fill the deputy clerk’s position.
The Council agreed at this time the position would not be filled.
