Upsala School approves purchase of new computers

Upsala’s Dean of Students Vern Capelle presented a recommendation to School Board members Nov. 23, to purchase 35 iMacs for the high school computer lab. The recommendation came from the Technology Committee.

The  Board was told the older computers will be placed in the elementary computer lab, with those existing computers distributed to various classrooms.

The Board unanimously approved the recommendation to purchase the needed computers

The computers will be ordered and placed in the lab as soon as delivery can be made.

Board Member Karin Nelson said, “No school can hope to operate without an up-to-date computer system for their students.  I am so thankful that our referendum passed so that we can provide this necessary tool.”

The cost of the 35 computers will be $42,385.25
