2012 DFL, GOP caucuses set for Tuesday, Feb. 7

The 2012 DFL (Democratic Farmer Labor) and Republican precinct caucuses are scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 7, beginning at 7 p.m. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m.

 

Democrats

Democrats will meet as follows:

Nine cities and 11 townships will meet at the Sauk Centre High School Media Center. The cities are Sauk Centre, Melrose, Belgrade, Brooten, Elrosa, Greenwald, Lake Henry, Meire Grove and Spring Hill. The townships are Ashley, Crow Lake, Crow River, Getty, Grove, Lake George, Melrose, North Fork, Raymond, Sauk Centre and Spring Hill.

Six cities and six townships will meet at the Albany Elementary School cafeteria. The cities are Albany, Freeport, New Munich, St. Anthony, St. Martin and St. Rosa. The townships are Albany, Krain, Lake Henry, Millwood, Oak and St. Martin.

Avon, Farming and Avon Township Democrats will caucus at Avon Elementary School.

Democrats from St. Wendel and St. Joseph cities and St. Joseph Township will caucus at Kennedy Elementary School in St. Joseph.

Democrats from Eden Lake and Eden Valley will caucus at Eden Valley High School.

Collegeville DFLers will caucus at the Peter Engel Science Center at St. John’s University.

At the Lynden Town Hall in Kimball, Democrats from the city of Kimball, and Fair Haven, Luxemburg,  Lynden and Maine Prairie townships will caucus.

Holdingford and Holding Township DFLers will caucus at Holdingford City Hall.

At Cold Spring Middle School, DFLers from the city of Cold Spring and Wakefield Township will meet.

At Richmond Elementary School, DFLers from Munson Township and the city of Richmond will meet.

Democrats from the city of Paynesville, and  Paynesville, Roscoe and Zion townships  will meet at Paynesville High School.

Rockville Democrats will meet at Rockville City Hall.

DFLers from Sartell, St. Stephen and LeSauk Township will meet at Sartell High School.

St. Augusta Democrats will meet at St. Cloud Junior High School South.

Attendees will vote on a presidential preference, elect city and township party officers, elect delegates to the county convention, and pass resolutions which will go on to the county convention to be held on Saturday, March 10, at the Sauk Centre High School Media Center.

Republicans

Republicans will meet as follows:

At Albany Elementary School, Republicans from the cities of Albany, Belgrade, Brooten, Elrosa, Freeport, Greenwald, Lake Henry, Meire Grove, Melrose, New Munich, Sauk Centre, Spring Hill, St. Anthony, St. Martin and St. Rosa, and the townships of Albany, Ashley,  Crow Lake, Crow River, Getty, Grove, Krain, Lake George, Lake Henry, Melrose, Millwood, North Fork, Oak, Raymond, Sauk Centre, Spring Hill and St. Martin will caucus.

At Avon Elementary School, Republicans from the city of Avon and Avon Township will caucus.

At the Rocori High School cafeteria in Cold Spring, Republicans from the cities of Cold Spring and Richmond, and Farming, Luxemburg, Munson, Roscoe and Wakefield townships will meet.

At the Paynesville Middle School Media Center, Republicans from the cities of Eden Valley and Paynesville, and the townships of Eden Lake, Paynesville and Zion will caucus.

At St. Cloud Apollo High School, Republicans from Rockville and Augusta will caucus.

Collegeville Republicans will caucus at St. John’s University in Sexton Commons, Room 200.

At Sartell Middle School, Republicans will meet from the cities of Sartell and St. Stephen and the townships of Brockway, LeSauk and St. Wendel.

At the Kimball Elementary School gym, Republicans from the cities of Kimball and the townships of Fair Haven, Lynden and Maine Prairie will caucus.

Republicans from the city of Holdingford and Holding Township will caucus at Holdingford High School.

At. Sal’s Bar & Grill in St. Joseph, Republicans from the city of St. Joseph and St. Joseph Township will caucus.
