Memorial services will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond, MN for Robert “Bob” Kiess, age 56, who died Friday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Inurnment will be in the St. Boniface Parish Cemetery, Cold Spring, MN. There will be a gathering of relatives and friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the memorial service.
Bob was born in St. Cloud, MN to Lloyd and Marjorie (Danzl) Kiess. He married Jennifer Theel on July 9, 2007 in Paynesville. Bob served in the Army Reserve from 1976 – 1982. Bob was a talented mechanic and was a “go to” guy for anything that needed fixing. His big heart and talent for helping people were evident to many. He loved hunting, fishing, golf and playing with his dog Ned. He will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include his wife, Jen; parents, Lloyd and Margie; father-in-law, Warren Theel; brothers and sisters, Mary Jo (Paul) Morrison, John (Patty) Kiess, Carol Mueller, Ann Hansen, Jim Kiess; nieces and nephews, Angela Mueller, Nikki and Danny Kiess, Brandt and Caelin Hansen, and Hayley and Tanner Morrison.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; mother-in-law, and brother.
Memorials are preferred.
