State GOP errs on siting area caucuses

Due to an inputting error by the Minnesota Republican Party, many of the GOP precinct caucus locations listed in last week’s Dairyland Peach were in error. The incorrect locations in that article were taken from the Secretary of State’s Web site, and had yet to be changed as of Tuesday.

However, District 13A Republican Coordinator Philip Falcon of Albany, says that the following locations are correct:

Albany Elementary School, 30 Forest Ave., Albany – Meeting here will be the cities of Albany and St. Anthony and the townships of Albany and Krain.

Charlie’s Café, 115 Main Street E., Freeport – Meeting here will be the cities of Freeport, New Munich, St. Martin and St. Rosa and the townships of Millwood, Oak and St. Martin.

Central Minnesota Federal Credit Union, 320 East Main St., Melrose – Caucusing here will be the cities of Greenwald, Meire Grove and Melrose and the townships of Grove and Melrose.

Holy Family School, 231 Sinclair Lewis Ave., Sauk Centre – Meeting here will be the city of Sauk Centre and the townships of Ashley, Getty, Raymond and Sauk Centre.

Belgrade City Hall, 417 Washburn Ave., Belgrade – Caucusing here will be the cities of Belgrade, Brooten, Elrosa, Lake Henry and Spring Hill and the townships of Crow Lake, Crow River, Lake George, Lake Henry, North Fork and Spring Hill.

All caucuses will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7.
