Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Shirley Ann Harris, age 80, who died Wednesday at the Assumption Home in Cold Spring. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Parish Cemetery.
A visitation for Shirley will be after 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. St. Boniface Christian Women will pray a rosary at 5:00 p.m. followed by parish prayers. Visitation will continue from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Monday morning at the funeral home.
Shirley was born in St. Cloud, MN to Charles and Mary (Condon) Eisenreich. She married Bob Harris on May 19, 1951 in St. Cloud. Shirley graduated from Cathedral High School and the College of St. Benedict with a degree in Music Education. She and Bob taught music in Cold Spring for over 40 years. Shirley was the director of the senior musicals at St. Boniface and Rocori High School from 1961-1993. She loved singing and camping. She was a member of St. Boniface Parish and the Cold Spring Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children, Lisa (James) Simpson of Roberta, GA, Scott of Cold Spring; grandchildren, Nicole McDonald, Samantha Simpson, Patrick, Danielle, Timothy, and Zachery Harris; sister, Kae Vandeputte of Eagan, MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; brothers, Leonard, William, Leo, Clifford; and an infant sister.
