The Swanville City Council called for a clarification of the remodeling bids it received pertaining to the changes at city hall and the senior center.
Following a discussion at Wednesday’s City Council meeting, the Council felt it did not have enough information on the bids to award them to either of the bidders.
The project includes moving the city hall office to the senior center and enlarging the library into the present city hall office.
A committee consisting of Mayor Sandy Peterson and Council Members Jim Molitor and Tim Grittner will meet with the bidders to explain what they want to see on the bid sheets.
Molitor said, “We really need to know what we are getting for our money. These bids need to be clarified.”
Agreeing, Grittner made a motion that stated after meeting with the bidders, Peterson and Molitor could make the decision on who should do the project. The motion carried unanimously. Councilman Jim Piekarski did not attend the meeting.
The Council also heard that the Swanville Lions Club would donate $25,000 to help pay for the project
