Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2012 at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin, MN for Rogaria Mehr, age 89, who died Tuesday at the Assumption Home. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
A visitation for Rogaria will be after 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the St Martin Parish Hall in St. Martin. Parish prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. The St. Ann’s Society, Catholic United Financial, the St. Martin Mary of Immaculate Conception and St. Anthony Christian Women will pray a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Monday morning at the St. Martin Parish Hall.
Rogaria was born in St. Rosa, Minnesota to John and Frances (Fisher) Bueckers. She married Robert P. Mehr on May 29, 1944. Robert died on April 17, 1999. Rogaria was a farmer’s wife and a homemaker all her life. She loved to listen to Polka music, go to old time dances, play cards and listen to Cliff Mitchell on KASM Radio Station. Rogaria was a member of St. Ann’s Society, a 50 year member of Catholic United Financial, a 50 year member of St. Martin Christian Women, a lifetime member of Mary of Immaculate Conception Christian Women of Rockville, and Christian Women of St. Anthony.
Survivors include her children, Arlene (James) Faber, Diana (Thomas) Goebel, Matthew (Rosemary) Mehr; sisters, Leona Kleinfhen, Bernice Marthaler; 17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Frances; children, Rose Mary Mehr, Rodney Frank Mehr; siblings, Margaret Bueckers, Adeline Atkinson, Erma Gerads, Clemens Bueckers, Walburga Rakotz, Alfrieda Gerads, Mathias Maurice Bueckers, and Leroy Bueckers.
