Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 10:00AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Long Prairie for Cpl. Aaron Joseph Talley, USMC, age 24 of Clarissa, MN, who passed away Sunday, April 1st  in San Antonio, TX. Father Adam Portugal will officiate and burial will be at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery in Browerville, MN. Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday and 9 to 10 AM Wednesday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Tuesday. Funeral arrangements are entrusted with the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Stein Chapel in Long Prairie.

Aaron Joseph Talley was born on May 16, 1987 in Waukegan, IL to John and Roxanna (Darling) Talley. He attended school at St. John Vianney in Long Prairie, completed his GED, and worked at the Long Prairie Food Center and Coborn’s grocery store. Aaron then enlisted into the United States Marine Corp, and served with the Marine Security Guard, providing security at U.S. Embassies in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Denmark. His latest assignment was with the Brig Company at Miramar Naval Base in San Diego, CA. He loved the “Corp” and was highly valued for his skills and motivation to perform at the highest level. Aaron was devoted and strong in his catholic faith, worked hard in his studies as well as with his physical conditioning. He enjoyed running and martial arts. Aaron also played the guitar and wrote poetry. He was a beloved and devoted brother, and a favorite with his cousins, and looked forward to his family gatherings. Aaron was seldom seen without a smile on his face, and a ready laugh.

Aaron is survived by his parents, John and Roxanna Talley of Clarissa, MN; siblings, Wesley Talley of Ecuador, Lance Cpl. Steven Talley of Clarissa, Elissa (Ryan) Vigil of Staples, MN, Michaela, Kaitlin, Rosalie, Mariel, Celine, Martin, and Timothy Talley, all of Clarissa; grandmothers, Lizzetta Talley of Beach Park, IL, and Gisela Darling of Port Charlotte, FL; aunts and uncles, Patrick and Linda Talley, and their children, Michael Talley, and Scott and Sabrina Quinn, and their children; as well as by his church family, marine corp brothers and sisters, and many good friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Earl D. Talley and Glenn T. Darling; uncle, Fredrick Talley; and aunt, Mary Martini.
