Free legal assistance is available to senior citizens

The Senior Law Project of St. Cloud Area Legal Services has received Older Americans Act funds through a contract with the Central Minnesota Council on Aging to provide legal assistance and legal education to persons 60 years and older.

If you are a senior citizen and are having legal problems, call the Senior Law Project of St. Çloud Area Legal Services at 320-253-0121 or toll free at 1-888-360-2889 to schedule an appointment. There is no fee for these legal services, but contributions are accepted.

The Senior Law Project staff can help you with Medicare, Social Security and SSI, landlord or other housing problems, public benefits, including medical assistance and fuel assistance, family law issues, including domestic abuse and income maintenance, nursing home problems, home care services, powers of attorney, health care directives, and many other issues facing seniors.

A representative from the Senior Law Project can also come and give a presentation to your seniors group about any of these legal issues.
