Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Mary Ann Schmitt, age 76, who died Monday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Parish prayers will be at 4 p.m. followed by a rosary with the St. Josephs Mission Group, St. Gerard Mission Group, Christian Women and Catholic United Financial. Visitation will continue from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at the funeral home.
Mary Ann was born in Richmond, MN to William and Anna (Gertken) Schneider. She married Raymond Alois Schmitt on October 2, 1936 in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Richmond, MN. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Parish, St. Gerard Mission Group, Catholic United Financial, and Christian Women.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond, children, Tom (Kathy), Vern (Sheri), Bruce (Shirley), Lou Ann Adams (Vern Ahles), Denise (Scott) Wolfe, Dean (Jodi Kinn), Lori (Tim) Primus; siblings, Valeria (Othmar) Braegelmann, Evarista (Ben) Ruegemer, Florentine (Anselm) Schefers; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Randy; brothers, Norbert, Raymond, Robert; sister, Velma.
