Dennis Ryan, 77
Dennis M. Ryan, 77, a resident of Melrose, passed away Saturday, Apr. 28, 2012 at the St. Michaels Hospital and Nursing Home in Sauk Centre.
A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, June 1, at the St. Mary’s Church in Melrose.
Dennis was born Mar. 28, 1935, in Preston to Elry and Lois (Seivens) Ryan. He was raised in Harmony, MN, where he was an avid sportsman. That is where he met and married his best friend Geraldine Trusty. They then moved to Minneapolis where he later retired from the post office. They moved into the Melrose area in 1974 where they both continued to play golf, fish and play cards.
Survivors include his mother Lois Ryan, sister Theresa Elrayne Ryan. Children Kevin, Scott (Sue) Ryan, Robin and Lisa Ryan. Grandchildren Ken Blumberg, Krista, A.J. and Heather Wangstad, Aleasha Ryan. Great grandchildren Dylan and Hunter Blumberg and Tyler Kuehn.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father Elry Ryan and wife Geraldine Ryan.
