Activities for everyone at Bonanza Valley Days

One of the food booths available during the weekend was manned by the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa wrestling team — where strength and character are built, according to their sign. Working the booth on Saturday afternoon, July 14, were (from left): Canon Swanson of New London and Jack Paulson of Brooten.

Brielle Worms gently kisses a bunny while visiting the animals of Erickson’s Petting Zoo of Osakis. Pictured are (from left): Mya and Brielle Worms, daughters of Brian and Amy Worms of Elrosa, and Lisa Erickson.

Brooten Princess Sara Welte (above, left) watches as Belgrade Princess Hope Bell (above, center) shoots the ball for a prize. Bell took home a gray elephant with her shot. The games were provided by Randy Hurley of Kettle River (above, right) of Party Time Amusements.

Cody Pikula of Brooten took advantage of the weekend activities to display and sell his handmade wood stands, made of Wyoming juniper, a restricted wood.

Pedaling with all her might in the four-year-old division of the kids’ tractor pull was Lexi Sweere (above), daughter of Brian and Kelly Sweere of Sunburg. Lexi’s effort earned her second place in her division.

Betsey Isane of Brooten was ready for the weekend sun with her umbrella during a softball game between Brooten’s Aqua Therm and the Belgrade Coop. The Prairie Pub of Morris won the tournament, with Hjelle Arc taking second, the Coop taking third and Aqua Therm placing fourth.
