Eden Valley Daze parade dazzles and delights

Enjoying the balmy evening Saturday, June 23 with big smiles for the crowds lining the parade route are (from left): recently crowned Paynesville First Princess Ramona Shelton and 2012 Miss Paynesville, Rachel Rittenhouse.

Chosen to be the Grand Marshals for the Thirteenth Annual Eden Valley Daze Parade were Mike and Mary Lou Arens, shown drIving through town in a decked-out 1913 Ford Model T, borrowed from Brian Peterka of Grove City.

The Meeker County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse made an appearance with David Martin of Cosmos riding Zip and Roxanne Lux of Cosmos riding M leading the way.

Performing the necessary job of cleaning up after the horses are brothers Nathan (left) and Kevin
Rokala, sons of Greg and Kim Rokala of Kimball.

Rylan Miller, son of Daryl and Kay Miller of Paynesville, is all set for some fun.

Eden Valley Daze parades are a summer highlight for the Taplah family of Paynesville. They come back every year. Pictured are (from left): Kwanteh, Carmel and Peggy Taplah.
