Fresh Minnesota Blueberry Buckle

3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. soft shortening

Mix together thoroughly. Stir in:

1/2 c. milk
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp.salt

Stir in 1 cup blueberries. Blend in carefully before putting into pan. Spread batter in a greased 9-inch square pan. Sprinkle with the following:

1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. soft butter

Bake for 45-50 minutes in 350-375 degree oven. Serve warm and fresh from oven. Enjoy.
