Bradley Joseph Brichacek, 60, of rural Browerville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 24, 2012. Funeral services for Brad were held on Friday, September 28, 2012, 11:00 a.m., at the Staples Alliance Church with Pastor Bob Hepokoski officiating.
Brad was born on April 14, 1952 to George & Bethel (Shannon) Brichacek in Long Prairie. Brad grew up in Moran Township on the family farm. He attended country school #132 through sixth grade and graduated Class of 1970 from Staples High School. After high school Brad enlisted with the Army National Guard of Minnesota and served eight years. In 1972 Brad married his high school sweetheart Patricia (Cline) on May 6th at St. Isidore’s Catholic Church. Brad and Pat made their home on the family farm. There they raised their four children while Brad pursued his passion for farming. Brad and his family spent four years in LeSueur where they added to their list of lifelong friends.
Family was so important to Brad. He was truly a loving and devoted husband to Pat. Brad loved farming with his boys and dad. He and Pat treasured their many trips to Kentucky to see their daughter and family. He was so proud of his kids and grandkids. He also enjoyed his role as a big brother to his siblings. He loved them all dearly.
In 2009, Brad’s love of food and cooking inspired him and Pat, along with their son and daughter-in-law, to open Brick’s Travel Center. Brad took great pride in his restaurant.
Brad was a member of the Staples Alliance Church.
Brad is survived by his wife Pat of 40 years. His daughter Stephanie (Paul) Ludovissie of Paducah, KY and their children Jordan, Alexis and Hallie. His son Joe (Susie) and their children Ben, James, and Josie. His son Jason (Angela) and their children Jay, Andy and Lizzie. His son Eric (Stacy) and their children Owen and Asher all of Browerville. His parents George and Bethel Brichacek of Browerville. His siblings Rick (Marilyn) Brichacek, Kerry (Denny) Finn, Kristi (Ken) Biermaier, Lonnie Brichacek, Kim (Ken) Woullet. Mother-in-law June Cline. Brother-in-law Tim (Debbie) Cline, Sister-in-law Jennifer (John) Kohler. Also many nieces and nephews.
Brad is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Father-in-law Harry Cline, and nephew Cody Lahr.
