Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Little Sauk for Robert A. McDonald, age 74, of Little Sauk, who passed away on Friday at St. Michael’s Nursing Home in Sauk Centre. Friends and relatives may call one hour prior to services at the church in Little Sauk on Thursday. Rev. Melissa Erhardt will officiate and burial will be at Calvary Lutheran Cemetery with full military honors. Arrangements are entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Stein Chapel of Long Prairie.
Robert was born on May 18, 1938 in Little Sauk to Raymond and Ruth (Cobel) McDonald. He lived in Little Sauk for most of his life and served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a life time member of the Little Sauk American Legion. Robert enjoyed painting, trapping and being outside. He was always willing to lend a hand to help others.
Survivors include his siblings, Laura (Frank) Davison of Little Sauk, Betty (Gene) Clark of Haines, Alaska, Virginia Korteum of Little Sauk and Raymond (Renee) McDonald of Brahm. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marie Kotz.
