Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 9 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Todd Schneider officiating. Inurnment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at church.
Rose Alvina Otte was born November 11, 1915 in Melrose, Minnesota to William and Frances (Macke) Otte. On November 25, 1936 she married Raymond Bromen at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. The couple farmed near Sauk Centre and moved to town in 1940. Rose was employed by Swift and Company for four years, Nathe’s Style Shop for 18 years, and St. Michael’s Hospital for two years. The couple lived in Sauk Centre for most of their lives with a few years residing on Sauk Lake and wintering in Florida. Rose moved to Lake Shore Estates in 1999. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers.
Rose is survived by her three sons, Gerald Bromen of St. Michael, Roger (Paula) Bromen of Englewood, Florida, and Wayne (Beverly) Bromen of Coon Rapids; daughter, Diane Hajicek of Waite Park; daughter-in-law, Marlene Bromen of Cincinnati, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Eleanore Rae of Eugene, Oregon and Adeline Silbernick of Sauk Centre.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Bromen on May 8, 1992; son, Marvin Bromen on August 2, 2010; daughter-in-law, Janice Bromen on August 21, 2010; son-in-law, James Hajicek on March 1, 2007; parents, William and Frances Otte; brother, Norbert Otte; and sisters, Olivia Moser, Josephine Haskamp, Marcella Marthaler, Rita Hesse, and Bertilla Powell.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral & Cremation Services, Sauk Centre.
