Jack was born on June 8, 1954 in Long Prairie, MN to Jerome and Tillie (Goligowski) Brown. He was raised on the family farm in Iona Township and attended Browerville High School, graduating in 1972. After graduating, Jack worked road construction for a couple of years, and then moved back to Browerville to work for Al Drajna Construction. In May of 1976, he married Barb Zigan; and in 1979, they started Jack Brown Construction.
Jack loved his family. He was so proud of his kids and loved being a grandpa. He enjoyed working, fishing (at the pad), hunting, and playing with his dogs, (Penny, Cletus, Maggie & Titus); he loved to laugh and sing, and loved even more making people laugh telling his stories. His greatest passion, aside from his family, was his business. Jack died after a fall on the job site. He no longer has to worry about not being able to work.
Jack is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barb, Browerville; children, Sarah (Keith) Kremer, St. Cloud, Jake (Jen) Brown of Bozeman, Montana, Joshua “Whitey” Brown of Browerville, Ben Brown of Browerville, Greta Brown (Mitch) of St. Cloud, and 2 grandchildren, Carter & Avery Kremer of St. Cloud; siblings, Bob Brown of Browerville, Ron (Jane) Brown of St. Cloud, Shirley (Fred) Holscher of San Antonio, Texas, Jeanette (Dan) Mace of Hastings, Jim (Brenda) Brown of Deer Creek, Jeff (Beth) Brown of Browerville and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
