Christmas Cherry Bars

1/2 c. butter
2 to 3 Tbsp. powdered sugar
Pinch of salt
1 c. flour

Cream butter. Add powdered sugar and flour. Pat into 9×13 pan (crust will be thin). Bake 10 minutes at 350º. Remove from oven and spread with the following:

4 eggs
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. shredded coconut
1 c. maraschino cherries, drained & cut up
1 c. walnuts or pecans

In bowl combine the above ingredients. Spread over baked crust. Bake 25 minutes. When cool, cut into bars.
