Mary Jagush, 98, of Browerville, passed away on December 1, 2012, at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Peter VanderWeyst officiating. Interment was held at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery, Browerville.
Mary Benick Jagush was born on March 24, 1914 in Ward Township to Peter & Katherine Benick. She attended grade school at District 33. In 1933 Mary was united in marriage to Blasie Jagush. They made their home on the family farm in Ward Township. To this union 4 children were born; Anthony, George, Joseph and Joan Lewis.
Mary was a hard working loving wife and mother, working side by side with her husband on their farm. In 1974 Blasie passed away; she sold the farm and moved to town. Mary worked at Campbell’s Potato Farms for many years. In July of 2000 she became a resident of the Central Todd County Care Center.
Mary is survived by her children: George (Geri) Jagush, Joseph Jagush, Joan Lewis of Plymouth, Massachusetts; 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband Blasie, infant son Anthony, brothers: William, John Peter and sister Frances.
