Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 28, 2012 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Mathilda “Toots” Brix, age 97, who died Thursday at Assumption Home. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Parish Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Friday morning in the St. Boniface Narthex.
Toots was born in Cold Spring, MN to George and Anna (Beaver) Ergen. She married Albert Brix in 1933 in St. Boniface Catholic Church, Cold Spring. She worked at Fox Drug Store for many years. Toots was a member of St. John’s Circle, Christian Women, St. Julian’s Mission Group, and St. Boniface Parish.
Survivors include her son, David (Doris); grandchildren, Darren (Jenny), Dan, De Ann (Tim) Schreifels, and Debbie (Jason) Stang; great-grandchildren, Ben, Emily, Alex, Erin, Jacob, and Ellie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert (1964); son, Wayne (1996); 6 brothers, and 3 sisters.
