Rosettes

2 eggs
1 Tbsp. Crisco oil
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
1 c. milk
1/4 tsp. vanilla or almond extract

Beat eggs slightly. Add sugar, salt and vanilla. Stir in oil. Alternate milk and flour. Put batter through a strainer once or twice. Use a rosette maker and fry in oil until brown. Drain on paper towels. Dip them in plain sugar or mixed with cinnamon.
