Milo Stanley Sticha was born on December 28, 1925 to Charley and Mayme (Kos) Sticha and lived his entire life in Iona Township in Todd County. He was born and raised on a dairy farm and attended Freeman Creek Country School. On October 14, 1950 he was united in marriage to LaVerne Remer at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Browerville, MN. Milo and LaVerne moved to their own dairy farm in 1955 and continued the dairy operation until 1987, and farmed until retiring in 2001. They then moved to their home near Long Prairie, MN.

Milo loved to be with his family, at an old-time dance when he was younger, and chatting with friends. He enjoyed helping others, playing cards, and was an avid collecter of antique tractors. He enjoyed working on his dairy farm and doing custom field work for many farmers over the years. As a young man and again later in life he enjoyed working with horses. He treasured his grandchildren and spent his quiet time reading. Milo was a very patient man and had a great sense of humor.

Milo was a director of the Clarissa Co-Op Creamery and a member of the Iona Township Board for many years. He was also a member of the Western Fraternal Lodge.

Milo is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, LaVerne; his children, Mark (LeeAnn) Sticha of Brooklyn Park, MN, Susan Sticha of Minneapolis, MN, Kent (Christine) Sticha of Plymouth, MN, and David (Lori) Sticha of Clarissa, MN; grandchildren, Lauren and Andrew Sticha, Ann and Claire Sticha, and Heather, Heidi, and Eric Sticha; and sister, Marlene (Delbert) Taber of Eagle Bend, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, William and Lila Sticha; and sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Clyde Taber.

Milo’s casketbearers will be his seven grandchildren.
