Master Gardeners host seminar Feb. 23

Consider learning more about gardening topics at the workshop “Gardening Knowledge for Free”. This workshop will be held at the Whitney Senior Center on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 8:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

“Gardening Knowledge for Free” is a workshop presented by the University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardeners of Stearns County. This is a free workshop for the beginning gardener who wants to learn more about gardening, or for the experienced gardener looking for more information on any particular topic. Participants are invited to attend three 45 minute sessions.

This year, the Master Gardeners of Stearns County will be offering a variety of topics including: “Starting a New Lawn;” “Growing Vegetables in Small Spaces;” “Starting a Garden from Scratch;” “Beginning Lakeshore Restoration;” “Everything You Need to Know About Growing Tomatoes;” and  “Avoiding Disaster: Tree Selection, Planting and Care.”

When you register, you will need to select the three workshops in which you plan to participate in for the day. Consider bringing a friend with to participate in this workshop with you.
