A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond, MN for Fredrick P. Meyer, age 67, who died as a result of a heart attack.
There will be a gathering of relatives and friends from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be in the Sts. Peter and Paul Parish Mausoleum.
Fredrick was born in Richmond, MN to Leander J. and Regina (Theis) Meyer. He was a graduate of Eden Valley High School and served in the Army Reserve. Fredrick retired in July of 2012 with high respect from his employers and coworkers after working in the sewer and water line industry for more than 40 years. He enjoyed horses, hunting, music, and was a lifetime member of the NRA.
Survivors include his daughter, Julie (Leon) Fuchs; granddaughter, Sarah Bastin; siblings, Lawrence (Kathy) Meyer, Maynard (Chicky) Meyer, Maxine (Leonard) Nowacki, Janet Schneider, Ione (Bunny) Sand, David (Linda) Meyer, Grace (Bob) Klaphake, Tom Meyer, and Teri (Gerry) Schmit.
He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel; parents; sister, Gloria Meyer, and niece, Amy Goerger.
