Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, Februay 4, 2013 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Jerome “Jerry” Frank, age 87, who died Thursday at home surrounded by family. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Parish Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday (TODAY) at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. Parish Prayers will be at 3:45 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:30 – 10:15 a.m., Monday morning at the St. Boniface Narthex.
Jerry was born in St. Nicholas, MN to Peter and Louise (Wolf). He married Evelyn Vogel on June 9, 1949 in St. Mary’s Cathedral in St. Cloud, MN. Jerry and Evelyn were married for over 63 years and raised 10 children together. Most of their lives were spent together at their home on Knaus Lake. He worked in the automotive industry for over 40 years, most of this time he worked as the General Manager/Salesman for Baston/Gilleland Chevrolet. Jerry’s passions included deer hunting, fishing, gardening, and fixing things.
Survivors include his loving wife, Evelyn; children, Roman “Butch”, Carol Engelman, Mary (Dan) Witzman, Deb (Tom) Harren, Bob (Bunny), Roger (Betty), Karen Hanrahan, Paul (Heather); siblings, Lorraine Schmitz, and Melvin (Delphine); sister-in-law, MaryAnn Frank; 23 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his children, LeRoy and Barbara; siblings, Wilfred, Urban (Lucielle), and brother-in-law, Ervin Schmitz.
