Mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Agnes Bernadine Wuebkers, age 74 of Upsala will be 11AM, Saturday, March 9th 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in St. Francis. Father John Odero will officiate and burial will take place in the parish cemetery following the service. Agnes died unexpectedly in her home Tuesday morning. There will be a visitation for Agnes from 4-8PM Friday, March 8th at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in Upsala and again from 10-11AM Saturday morning once again at the funeral home. Parish prayers will take place at 6PM followed by the Christian Mothers praying the rosary at 6:30PM Friday evening at the funeral home in Upsala. Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of Upsala.
Agnes was born on August 30th, 1938 in Melrose to Leo and Monica (Herzog) Hinnenkamp. She married Jerome Wuebkers on July 10th, 1962 in Melrose. After marriage, the couple moved to a farm near St. Francis where she worked as a mother and home-maker until eventually retiring to Upsala in 2000. Agnes had many things she enjoyed in life. She was most proud of her beautiful gardens. She was a very active member of the St. Fracnis Sewing Circle, the Christian Mothers, and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where she was also active in the choir and assisted with religion education. Because of her love of flowers and gardening, she was a member of the Stearns County Master Gardeners.
Agnes is survived by her loving children Charlene (Frank) Hohmann, Royalton; Kevin (Janice) Wuebkers, St. Francis; her seven grandchildren; and her siblings Ralph (Doris) Hinnenkamp, Melrose; Dorine (Greg) Nowak, Dayton, MN.
She is preceded in death by her parents Leo and Monica Hinnenkamp, and her husband Jerome Wuebkers who passed in January of 2008.
