Idella J. Bushey, 79
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Swanville, MN for Idella J. Bushey, 79 year old resident of Long Prairie, MN, who passed away on Monday, March 4th at CentraCare Healthsystem in Long Prairie, MN. Father Ron Dockendorf will officiate and burial will be at Springbrook Cemetery in Swanville. Family and Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Stein Chapel in Long Prairie.
Idella June Kardash was born on March 3, 1934 in Little Falls, MN to the late Michael and Frances (Jadzewski) Kardash. She attended schools in Swanville and graduated from St. Francis High School. Idella then attended and graduated from McPhail College of Music in 1959. Idella was united in marriage to Robert Bushey on Dec. 13, 1970. The couple moved to Long Prairie in 1976. Idella taught piano and voice lessons at St. Francis Music Center in Little Falls. She played violin with the Heartland Symphony and the Long Prairie Chamber Orchestra, and was also a member of the Fargo Opera Co. for 8 years. Idella was also a classically trained artist who was known for her beautiful paintings and hand made jewelry. She was especially fond of her flower and rock gardens. People driving by the house would often stop just to admire them.
Idella will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Robert; son, Michael of CA; sister-in-law, Beverly Lubnewski of Long Prairie; brothers-in-law, Leonard Dzieweczynski of Swanville, and Arthur Bushey of Lewiston, ME; nephews, Bill Kardash of Farmington, MN, Robert Dzieweczynski of Pillsbury, MN, Roger Dzieweczynski of Little Falls, Larry Dzieweczynski of West St. Paul, MN, and Dennis Dzieweczynski of Little Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Raphael Kardash; sister, Romona Dzieweczynski; and niece, Denise Niedzielski.
