Larry Roland Pallies died peacefully Saturday at his home surrounded by family. Larry was born in St. Cloud to Loyal and Noraine (Hartfield) Pallies. He married Monica Horwath on June 8, 1963 in St. Mathews Church of Christ in Forest City. Larry served in the U. S. Airforce from January 31, 1955 to March 29, 1958 as a Flight Engineer Mechanic. He worked as a Cement Mason until he retired in 2000. Larry enjoyed anything outdoors; especially, elk hunting in Colorado, fishing on the Chain of Lakes, deer hunting, and coon hunting. He also enjoyed playing cards, football, gambling trips, and he had a love for dogs. Larry was a member of the Cold Spring American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Monica; children, John (Sherry) of Solon Springs, WI, David (Jody) of Columbia Heights, Don (Lesley) of Cold Spring, Penny Jelen of Cold Spring; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy (Darrel) Hedlund of South Haven, and one godchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rick; brother, Loyal Jr.; sister-in-law, Phyllis.
