A funeral service will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond, MN for Sharon Donabauer, age 74, who died Saturday at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Inurnment will be in the St. Anthony Parish Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28 at the Wenner Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
Sharon was born in Minot, ND to Clarence and Kathleen (Sieverling) Ahearn. She married Gilbert Donabauer on October 19, 1957 in St. Mary’s Cathedral, St. Cloud, MN. Sharon and Gilbert owned and operated Gib’s Well Drilling, and the Kimball Liquor Store for many years. She worked at Hutchinson Technology and then Hutchinson Hospital until her retirement. She loved her family and was devoted to her dogs, Nikko, Oreo, and Sassy.
Survivors include her children, Cindy (Chad) Almgren, Don (Kelly) Donabauer, Mike Donabauer; daughter-in-law, Anne Donabauer; siblings, Del (Jean) Ahearn, Susan Mills; grandchildren, Steven (Angie), Jason and Shawn Donabauer, Darrin (Amy) Hall, Amanda (Dustin) Orbeck, Brittany Donabauer and Jason Anderson, Nick and Samantha Donabauer, Jerry (Stacy) Almgren, Jessica and Joshua Almgreen; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Brailee, Lucy, Collin and Blake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert and son Charles “Chuck” Donabauer.
