Oven Baked French Toast – Strawberries

1 small loaf of day-old French bread
3 eggs
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. flour
6 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1 c. strawberries

Grease 9-inch x 13-inch baking dish. Cut bread diagonally into one-inch slices. Place in dish, set aside. In medium bowl lightly beat eggs, white sugar and vanilla. Stir in milk until well blended. Pour mixture over bread, turning to coat well. Cover and refrigerate overnight. In morning combine flour, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Turn bread pieces over. Scatter chopped up strawberries over bread and sprinkle with crumb mixture. Bake in preheated 375° oven about 40 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into squares and top with more strawberries if desired.
