1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 1/4 c. fresh lemon juice (from about 6 lemons)
1 pint strawberries, hulled and sliced
24-28 oz. fresh cold water
Bring sugar and water to a simmer in small saucepan. Stir so that sugar melts completely then remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Place berries in blender and process until smooth. Pour berries into sugar water and stir well. Add lemon juice. Combine strawberry/lemon syrup and cold water in large pitcher. Stir well and add lots of ice. Serve with slices of lemon and strawberries. Six servings.
