Egypt, U.S. events compared

To the editor:

I wonder how many people remember the uprising in Egypt a couple of years ago where Obama and Hillary Clinton were showing support for those opposing and trying to overthrow Mubarek.

We knew the Muslim Brotherhood were behind that with Morsi as a leader.

Obama and Hillary supported them because they were going to install a democratic government and a lot of the Egyptians believed it.

I did not. You had to be blind to not see what was happening — electing a radical Muslim as a leader. He had no intention of following through.

He felt he had enough of the Brotherhood behind him, so he could throw out the constitution and proclaim himself sole ruler and what he said was law.

Does that remind you of something happening in the U.S.A.?

It didn’t take the Egyptians too long to realize they made a big mistake and take action to try and fix it. It will not be easy, but they have the guts to try, God help them.

I only hope the American people had that kind of gumption and throw out our Burr and his cronies and put a group of hillbillies in their place. I will bet they would instill common sense into our government and respect for our Constitution and human life and bring God back in schools and society.

Wouldn’t it be great if the world would live by the rules God gave us, mainly the Ten Commandments.
