Apple Dumplings

2 large apples, peeled & cored
1 c. butter or margarine
1 tsp. cinnamon
(2) 10 oz. cans crescent roll dough
1-1/2 c. sugar
12 oz. can Mountain Dew

Preheat oven to 350º. Grease a 9×13 pan. Cut each apple in 8 wedges. Separate rolls in 8 triangles. Put apple wedge on small end of dough and roll up. Pinch end together to cover dumpling. Put into pan. Melt butter and stir in sugar and cinnamon. Pour over dumplings. Pour Mountain Dew around dumplings. Bake 30 – 45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with some of the syrup and ice cream.
