Northland-WoolensWEB

Maria, left, and Jason Kohnhorst operate Northland Woolens north of Nelson. The knitting machines in the background are Scott and Williams circular knitting machines from the 1940s and the 1950s. They can hold up to 12 cones of yarn and each cone can weigh up to five pounds. The most popular design is “Santiago” and it is never removed from its machine.
