Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Rose Mary Brinkman, age 88, who died Sunday at St. Benedict Center. Entombment will be in the St. Boniface Parish Mausoleum.
Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. The Richmond Catholic Order of Foresters will pray a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
Rose Mary was born in Richmond to Joseph and Rosena (Schmitt) Roettger. She graduated from St. Boniface High School and received a degree from St. Cloud Business College. She then worked as an office manger for her father Joseph at the Richmond Hatchery. She married Roman Brinkman on August 24, 1949 in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond. Rose Mary was a homemaker all her married life and loved interior decorating, flowers, golfing, bowling, playing bridge, shopping, and having lunch with the girls. Rose Mary especially enjoyed being with family and friends. She was a member of St. Boniface Parish and Richmond Catholic Order of Foresters.
Survivors include her husband, Romie; daughter, Jean Rogers and significant other Mike Connor; her brother, John and sister, Dolores Wenner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Thomas; sisters, Dorothy Peschl, Alice Heinen; brothers, Ralph, Ray, Joe, and Richard Roettger.
Arrangements are with the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring, MN.
