Catholic leaders acknowledged

To the editor:

In response to the letter “Francis is not a real pope,” (Nov 11 issue): (The letter writer) is a member of the United States of America where he is allowed to have any religious beliefs he’d like. His belief seems to be that any changes made to the Catholic Church since Vatican II are not recognized.

The belief that Pope Francis is not even a priest because of being ordained after Vatican II is also one of the many reasons that such believers are not recognized by the Diocese of St. Cloud and Holy See in Rome as members of the Roman Catholic Church.

As  members of the St. Cloud Diocese we acknowledge Pope Francis as our pope and our newly installed bishop Donald Kettler as the leaders of the Roman Catholic Church and the Diocese of St Cloud.
