Joleen Krueger

Joleen (Lauer) Krueger, 38, a resident of St. Louis Park (formerly of Cold Spring), passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital surrounded by her family after her courageous battle with colon cancer.
A funeral service was held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at the St. Johns Abbey/University Church in Collegeville. Burial was in the St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Visitation was from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 at the St. John the Baptist Parish Center on Fruit Farm Road in Collegeville. Visitation continued Saturday morning for one hour prior to services in the Baptistry of the Abbey Church.
Joleen was born May 29, 1975, in Albany to Chuck and Jan (Frank) Lauer. She married Dean Krueger on April 24, 2004 in St. Johns Abbey Church, Collegeville. Joleen was very active in the Colon Cancer Coalition and Get Your Rear in Gear Organization to promote Colon Cancer Awareness. She enjoyed family gatherings at the Lauer Lodge, St. Johns Football, Minnesota Twins, and was an avid runner. She loved being with her boys Dean and Logan.
Survivors include her husband, Dean; son, Logan; parents; sisters, Christy (Jim) Sexton, Katie (Cory) Eggert; grandmother, Marcella Frank and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Vern Frank, and Robert and Margaret Lauer.
Memorials preferred. Arrangements were with Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring.
