Yvonne was born in St. Cloud, MN, to Andrew and Ludvina (Boeckmann) Wagner. She graduated from Kimball High School and later attended St. Benedicts College. Yvonne then taught at Sauk Rapids High School. While she lived her entire life in Minnesota, she traveled extensively throughout the United States with her husband Loren, who was an over-the-road trucker. A lover of reading, puzzles, Scrabble, and card games, Yvonne also loved to dance to old-time music and being in the outdoors, whether that was working on the farm or watching the cardinals and other birds in the backyard. She was an avid sports fan, especially local high schools and colleges. Yvonne was a member of St. James Parish.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years; daughter Lorna; sisters Evelyn Notsch, Eileen Kunkel, Beatrice Kunkel, Joyce Schmitz, and their spouses; brothers James Wagner and his spouse and Father Donald Wagner; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Kenneth, and her sister Theresa Schneider.
The family would like to extend its gratitude for the kindness and consideration of the Coborn Cancer Center, the Assumption Community, St. Cloud Hospital, and St. Cloud Hospice. In lieu of flowers, masses or memorial donations are requested.
