Elnora Kircher, 82

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm, Friday, January 24, 2014 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home Stein Chapel in Long Prairie for Elnora M. Kircher, age 82, of Long Prairie who died Tuesday at St. Cloud Hospital. The Rev. Bill Bakewicz will officiate and burial will be in the Calvary Lutheran Cemetery in Little Sauk at a later date. Friends may call from 12 to 2 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
Elnora Minna Tabatt was born on September 8, 1931 to Hattie and Leo Tabatt. She grew up in Round Prairie and attended Round Prairie Country School. She was a hard working farmers daughter. On December 22, 1953, Elnora married Lawrence Roger Kircher in Webster, South Dakota. For a short while they lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado, while Lawrence was in the United States Army. They moved back to Little Sauk to start a family after Lawrence was done with his duty in the military. It was there they started their family. Elnora and Lawrence had six children, and later moved their family to Long Prairie where Elnora lived for the remainder of her life.
Elnora was best known for her amazing work ethic, her beautiful gardens and her cooking that could put any professional chef to shame. Elnora was a member of American Lutheran Church in Long Prairie. She dearly loved her Lord and her family.
She is survived by her children, Janice (Gerald) Berndt of Bertha, Dennis (Jean) Kircher of Browerville, Gary (Wendy) Kircher of Fertile, Jane (David) Nelson of Little Falls, Gerald (Lois Wilks) Kircher of Fairmont, and Bradley Kircher of Long Prairie, her sister, ElVera Luberts of Long Prairie, 21 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence, brother Walter Tabatt, and brother-in-law, Edwin Luberts.
