Mark your calendars for a day of fun and information about women’s health. CentraCare Health’s 13th annual Women’s Health 101 is 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 15, at CentraCare Health Plaza, 1900 CentraCare Circle. Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required, at www.centracare.com.
From 8 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. attendants can participate in more than 20 health screenings, a variety of presentations and visit more than 50 educational booths. Free glucose and cholesterol screenings are available until 10:30 a.m. or to the first 225 people. Presentations by area health care providers include a variety of women’s health topics, including digestive health, foot health, aging and sexual health, back health, stress, healthy eating, tai chi and more, covered in 45-minute sessions.
At 1:15 p.m., Michelle Meyers, MS, MTS, and Kay O’Neil, MA, MTS, Presentation Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary, will use wit and wisdom to teach attendees practical skills for nurturing their self-esteem and helping others grow in self-appreciation. Women’s Health 101 is free, but a suggested $10 donation is encouraged at the door to support ongoing women’s health education. The event is sponsored in part by Times Media.
