A gathering of family and friends will be from 2-5 pm Sunday, April 6, 2014 at William Dingmann Family Funeral Home-Stein Chapel for JoAnn M. Doetkott, age 73, of Burtrum who passed away on Thursday, April 3, at the CentraCare Health Systems-Sauk Centre. Burial will take place at a later date in the Moses Dane Cemetery, Burtrum.
JoAnn Mary Meagher was born April 18, 1940 in Grey Eagle, Minnesota, the daughter of James and Theresa (Denk) Meagher. She grew up and attended country school near Grey Eagle. She married Dale Payne and they moved to the Twin Cities. After the death of her husband she returned to Burtrum. JoAnn married Donald Tepley and they lived in Upsala. She worked at Jenni-0 foods for many years. She later married Wayne Doetkott and they lived on a dairy farm for several years. Joann retired in 2005.
JoAnn enjoyed canning, quilting, sewing, reading, gardening, and cooking big meals. She liked to go fishing in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. She loved farming with Wayne.
JoAnn is survived by her children, Donald Tepley, Burtrum; Laura (Douglas) Jaskche, Osseo; and Catherine (Jeffrey) Ahrens, Burtrum; siblings, Virginia (Clarence) Maciej, Elmdale; Carol (David) Butkowski, Freeport; Sandra (Allen) Johnson, Pillsbury; and Janice (Robert) Larson, Burtrum; also 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Dale and Wayne, sons Norman, Floyd, and Dale, Jr., and siblings James, Harvey, Richard, Gerald, Clifford, and Margaret.
